”Our connection with others can only be as deep as our connection with ourselves. If I don’t know and understand who I am and what I need, want and believe. I can’t share myself with you.” —Brene Brown
Our organization is here for your search for connection. Let us work alongside you to explore and piece together what you are feeling stuck on. We can provide a safe space to communicate your internal challenges and struggles. We understand it is not always easy to be vulnerable to sharing your inner thoughts and feelings.
As a psychotherapy and counselling clinic, we support individuals, couples and families to better understand and navigate the complexities of relationships. We are all seeking to be supported and loved.
Providing professional in-person and virtual counselling services to Nepean, Stittville, Bridlewood, Fallowfield, Bells Corner, Manotick, Ottawa and surrounding communities.
At our clinic, we offer psychotherapy for individuals (aged 17 and up), couples/poly relationships, and families. Some therapists specialize in certain client populations (e.g., couples) while other therapists only see individuals.
Our therapists integrate commonly used modalities into their therapy sessions. And some therapists have specialized training in therapeutic modalities, such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), a Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) or Somatic Experiencing.
Our team has experience treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, anger management, grief and loss, along with relational distress (i.e., communication issues, resolving couple conflict, premarital counseling) and stress management. These are only a few of the areas of support our team can provide support for.
We are located in Ottawa in the Barrhaven location for in person services. We also offer video sessions on a secure video platform for those who are situated in rural areas or outside of Ottawa. We can provide services to anyone who is in the province of Ontario with the accessibility of a virtual option for therapy.
Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Director and Supervisor, M.A., RP
Individual, couples and family therapy (Age 16+), and clinical supervision
Therapy Format: In-person or Virtual
Areas of Focus: Communication, Emotional regulation, Stress management, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship conflict
Communicating with your partner is hard. You replay arguments over and over. You feel criticized by your partner and do not feel heard. The idea of voicing your needs feels overwhelming and frustrating. As time has passed, talking to your partner has become minimal. There is less sharing of your feelings due to feelings of disappointment of not being heard. Your partner and you feel disconnected and have a lack of communication. You are exhausted at working so hard to have a genuine relationship and it feels like nothing is working. What you want is to feel you can confide in your partner, feel loved, feel heard and supported.
Relationships are challenging and overwhelming. When you have sessions with me, you will have a safe space to have a voice and feel heard. I give you a place to express the unspoken, to explore with curiosity, and to become aware of relationship patterns. I would be honoured to get the opportunity to listen to your story and guide you in finding your voice and becoming more content with yourself and your relationships. Our journey together will help you to find the happiness, love and belonging you felt when the relationship began. It is possible to have a genuine loving and connected relationship where there is trust, support and growth to become a better version of yourself. We all seek for connection and deserve to be heard
I work with individuals aged sixteen plus, by using a range of approaches catered to the wellness goals. I have a Master’s degree from Saint Paul’s University with a specialization in Couple and Family Therapy. I can help with creating connections for growth and love. I welcome you to take the next step by sending me an email or giving me a call to book a free fifteen-minute consult or scheduling an initial session to see if we are a good fit.
